@mdb240 Thanks for your input, I added your box to the original post. It's interesting that Weber had 4 different boxes with the 1982 copyright. 

@harris92 That's a beauty.  Do you have the box/model #?

Nope.  I have seen a '62 in person.  The '62 has a rounded lid handle.  This one is squared.  Also, the '62 lid handle attachment point is rounded.  Again, this one is squared.  The big difference:  "62 has three bowl exhausts and vents.  This smokey only has one.

Hard to tell from the catalog pic.  Do you happen to know if your ‘56 was the same model #?
