The finish looks like blue glass.  Really really nice!

Ausome! Are you going to cook on it? There is no reason to do it any time soon with all the other kettles out there. Wish Weber would make some more really pretty blue kettles. I really like the old style ash catcher. How lucky to have one in mint condition. They really make the vintage Kettle look. Weber could stamp a few of them out for the collectors, dog gone it!

She's definitely a beauty in person!!!  If it weren't for my family's NYC trip this year, or the fact I just restored the green MBH (your trade request), I woulda took her home that night.

Since I reluctantly passed, I'm glad you're keeping it as an heirloom. There's something about Weber Blue. I have two blue OTGs that my daughters have "claimed" (I'm allowed to use them until they grow up & get their own places). My niece has shown an interest in them as well, so I keep my blue SSP hidden away for now.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn't?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I've amassed a nice collection, but I'm missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

I remember this.  Glad you could get it.  Looks great.

Sorry, didn't mean to pry. What you and Felicia do in the backyard behind closed gates is none of my business. She will always be worth more unused. There is a reason she has that blue glass look. I think she is wearing blue glass! She is a museum piece. How many older mint unused kettles are there? A trophy girl friend. Haha.

It will only get used for special SPECIAL  occasions. Meanwhile I have a 78 blue MBH that is the workhorse along with several others. I think blue (especially older blues) has matched red as my co-favorites. These older ones (1978-1981) have a really cool "Ford tractor" blue to them. While my later blues have either a bright "lake blue" finish or more of a periwinkle hue as they get later on in the color. No two blues are alike. Hey Felicia can I borrow your microwave right quick? I need it for some chicken!

@Craig   Sorry I'm late to the party, but it really makes my heart sing to KNOW that a MBH Kettle, of that vintage and condition, shall remain in the loving hands of someone who truly appreciates it.  Thanks for being that particular kettles honored custodian.   Now, about that magnificent Black MBH sitting next to your Blue in the photo :)  ;D   "Stay thirsty my friend".

Who needs a little blue pill, when you have a NIB blue MBH?  Remember to call a doctor if it lasts more than 4hrs.

A Kettle in that kind of condition, that old doesn't come along very often.  A great decision to hold onto.  What would you have got in return? Money?  You can make more of that.  But you don't come across gems like this very often.

Great great decision!
