For those of us who don't have/can't find a corn-n-tater holder, there is an alternative.  Weber used to sell vegetable holders (Weber #3802) which can still be found inexpensively on amazon and eBay.  Yesterday I was putting together a quick dinner cook and thought I would take some pics of them in action.  Not a fancy cook at all, but a tasty dinner...

These are the holders. They are a pretty simple design and mine have lasted for years. They come in packs of 4 so you can easily cook from 1-8 ears/potatoes.  That is one of the features I like the most, the ability to only use what you need and free up grill space.

After trimming down the husks (leaving less than 1" of stalk in place), removing loose husk and silk, and soaking the corn for about 20 minutes it went on the grill.  I like to tuck the holders under the lid to keep the rest of the grilling surface open.

With the corn on the side, there is plenty of space to cook other items. Our dinner consisted of pork chops/chicken and asparagus.

One of the great things about these holders is the ability to move them around to get the proper heat level (left). Finished product (right).

As many on here have attested, grilling corn is fantastic. It had a nice roasted flavor with the ultimate test being my toddlers scarfing it down quickly.  I highly recommend these holders for anyone who wants to grill corn.  They are a nice addition to the accessory arsenal.

Sounds good. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I've been working on getting the ash bucket mounted.  The bucket and ring must have been from different years because I had to modify the bucket a little to get it to fit the ring.  Now I just need to get the bowl clean and mount the ring.

I've got my old ring that goes with the bucket.  Just let me know if you need it.

^--- This. This is why I prefer the holders over the CnT ring. Excellent write-up, @Neil_VT00
