I am going on 13 months RRR Weber grills and always kept my ear to the ground in the search for a yellow.  And I found one.
It was posted 2 days ago (July3) and I responded within the hour of it posting.  Fingers crossed, about 2 hours later the gent called and said that it was available as a first come, first serve.  I was the first to respond, but there were others that couldn't pick it up until Tuesday (after 4th of July festivities probably): this is where I get crazy.

I called back and told him that I'd be there before noon.   I knew that if I didnt sacrifice the effort to pick it up I probably would never have another chance to buy one in this shape again.  Boy was I in over my head.  This grill was 300 miles away; that meant I'd have to wake up at 6am, drive 5 hours, pickup, and drive 5 more.  I decided to go for it around 11:30pm and woke up super tired.  The adrenaline was like caffeine and I had finally made it there at 10:30am (i forgot the destination was one hour behind, doh'!).   It was well worth it.

Finally at home with a begin burn:

Nice score!!!  Really is in grate condition. If I didn't have a yellow already, I woulda grabbed that one up (noticed the listing about 10 minutes after it posted).
Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn't?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I've amassed a nice collection, but I'm missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

That's the one I shared here. Glad you got it! That sucker looks pristine!

No major porcelain loss on that beauty!!!!! 5 hours each way? With the find posted too? Holy crap....glad the seller held to their word.

Did a 3 hour each way drive to get a rare Kettle once and someone posted the find here while I was driving.....bloody seller got a whack of offers that he passed on. Some folks would hop on a higher offer....which is why I almost never post a rare kettle listing. Posting a hot find here will likely bung up a deal with a member close by....especially if it is in a high population area. Use this to find local members and get hold of them:

Asking openly for somebody to agent is probably not a good idea either....especially if you subsequently decide the cost would be prohibitive. Just leave it to a local.

I know Joel personally, we work together to get deals here in metro Detroit.  I consider him a partner in crime and friend, and I couldn't be happier for him.  What a great looking kettle and so glad it worked out, I was nervous when you @jbenavidez2  said you were going to take that trek but you did it and it worked out.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.
