will this break off if I try to straighten it

Picked up SJP yesterday and this 22" OTS today. Deals I could not refuse. Both in excellent condition, except this on 22" leg.

One of the leg is bent right over.  Did not notice it as it was standing upright when I picked it up.  Just wondering if I should just leave it or try bending it back and risk breaking it.

I would appreciate your input as I have no idea what I should do with it.

I could try heating it up and bend it back bit at a time.  Where the fold is very thin aluminum, so not sure if it will work.

I don't think it will break but bend it back slowly. Good luck

I've acquired two that were like that. Should bend back fine, as long as it hasn't been attempted before. Can usually bend that thin aluminum twice w/o hairline cracking. Get it close & pound into shape with a 3# hammer. Any hammer w/ a smooth head would work, but the broader the head the better (avoids dimples).

Heat won't help w/ aluminum like it does w/ steel. You'll just make it too hot to hold.

I took a closer look at the pic. That'll straighten out w/o issue. Looks way worse than it is.

Bend it back. It's just a leg. If it breaks just grab a donor kettle for cheap.

Easy for you to say!   Problem is I pick up all decent, if not better condition than what I expected cheap and get attached to every one of them. No donor/parts kettle for me if I could help it.      This one will only do High heat Pizza duties.

And yes, I am bending it back as  brewtownbeatdown and MacEggs already mentioned with exact same issue they had. The problem solved for me.   Thank you all for your help.
