My black Performer needs mods!
« on: June 02, 2016, 06:27:59 PM »
Hey guys! Just found this website a few days ago and I'm pretty excited about my new grill! Pretty cool seeing what everyone is doing with their webers!

I was driving and saw someone put this beauty on the curb! I picked it up and brought her home! Gave it a cleaning and started searching for pics online. I guess the model is a 99...so far this is what I've done and need some ideas on what else to do:

The frame is a little wobbly. I bought some 90degree supports and am going to screw them in along the frame to sturdy it up. While at Home Depot I got some cedar fence boards and cut them to fit the bottom rack. Id like to put some 'off road' tires on the grill along with wood handles..although I'm not sure where everyone is getting handles.   I like the idea of reversing the stainless lid and adding some butcher block to it.

I'm open to any ideas...please share them! Along with any pictures you have of your mods!

Nice fedex.  If you need a grill anywhere you solved for that.  Do any wheels steer or all locked?

Looking good so far. For handles use the link @Vwbuggin64 posted, or PM @zavod44 directly. He can do some pretty cool custom stuff too.
Still need a 22” yellow
