I was stoked to win this grill, and I'm sure it's probably a Wkc member. Question though....didn't realize (or really think about it) but the auction lists this kettle as a 1975, but the wheels on it are the newer style (1977 and after) maybe I'm mistaken. Thoughts???

What does the lid vent look like?  I can't tag him from tapatalk but @craig knows best.

@Craig @Troy @pbe gummi bear any thoughts? I love this thing no matter the year but wouldn't mind knowing for sure anyways. Thanks gents.

That style wheel started in '78 but of course there's some leeway for when they were released. weberkettleclub.com/blog/2016/03/04/1978-weber-grill-history/

I thought that wheel debuted in 1977 but awesome kettle and score man! Take some group pics when it meets it's new friends!

Darko

Awesome score. It's a beautiful kettle.

Craig

That is one beautiful brownie! With these wheels and that BAR B Q KETTLE vent, this grill is in the neighborhood of late 1975 (Oct-Dec) -1976. Favoring 1976 with those wheels. If it'd had the older style plastic wheels then it would have favored '75 more so.

Craig

Incidentally, there are quite a few updates and revisions coming (in progress) in the year by year sections. Several from the 1970s are ready for release.
