Does anyone know if the new charcoal grates fit the early seventies 26rs? Has anyone had dealings with this?

When I had my old 26'er I was able to order the plated grates from Weber. They wouldn't sell the stainless flip ups.
I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!

I'm trying to get new charcoal grates. Not cooking. Did I understand right? I did talk to customer service and ordered a grate that is a 19" dimension. Part # 63014. It's for a 22" wsm. That's what the tabs on the fleet wood measure. The new style will not fit. Pretty helpful folks. Cost me 30 with shipping. Not bad

wow so a charcoal grate for a 22 WSM will fit?  If so, that is cool.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

I don't know. Talking with customer service at weber we found the wsm charcoal grate is 19" diameter. That's the same measurements as the fleet wood. When it comes in, I'll let ya'll know.

I think the measurement on the Fleetwood is 19 1/2.

Hey, Steve, I measured and it's a hare over 19" at the point the bowl tabs bend. That said, I believe it should work. I hope anyways

Hey, what did you do did get your vents cleans?

Makes sense that it would fit from a production efficiency standpoint.

I tested this for both cooking and charcoal grates a year or so ago.
I just can't find the pictures and the results.
I don't even remember who was asking :(

Thankfully, I've got the grill grate. They want $70 for a new hinged one. We didn't even go into whether those fit the fleet woods. Those may be sized different too for all I know.

Just a heads up, the grate came in today. It measures 18", not actually 19", but does sit on the tabs. I wish it was a little bigger cause you can slide it off the tabs if push over one way or the other. It does fit however. I might actually just tac a little tit on one of the tabs to make sure it stays in place. Not like I'm going to be moving it around or anything. Here's a pic.

Again, it's the 22" wsm charcoal grate. Part # 63014.
