Meals on Wheels ( charity event)
« on: March 18, 2016, 09:33:55 AM »
My wife is on the board of directors for our local senior center and they put on an annual fundraising auction to benefit programs like Meals on Wheels. My wife asked if I wanted to donate a grill and I offered instead to donate a dinner party for 8-10 people all cooked on weber kettles. I made a menu with various choices from meats to appetizers and desert and the package goes up for auction tomorrow night.

The organizers asked if I'd bring some of my old grills down to display at the banquet and I agreed but secretly told the wife I didn't want anything to happen to my grills .

It's not very often you get to show off your hobby and I'm launching a new catering business so I decided to bust out the power trio  for display at the event

A special thanks to @harris for the replacement wheels on the sequoia and a replacement ash pan for the Westerner which I'm working on currently .

I'll post pics of the event hopefully  we raise a bunch of money for a  good cause

Great deal...raise money for a worthy cause, cook someone a meal they won't soon forget, and they will tell their friends about...and show off some awesome kettles and spread the Weber Love

Way to go in supporting a good cause.  Love that Westerner...I don't know if I'd take her out in public!

Chasing the impossibles: Westerner, Custom, Meat Cut!

That's a grate donation!!!

Cooking an "out of this world" dinner for the Mayor can have it's  rewards.  No more potholes in your neighborhood.  Maybe even an @Idahawk Kettle Grill Awareness Day on the anniversary of the monumental meal.
Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞
