Picked up an old jumbo joe today for $8

I thought for sure seller was a flake. Ad was posted last week, but she didn't respond to any of my 3 separate emails. Plus it was listed as a 14" Weber (with pics clearly showing an old jumbo joe/smokey joe platinum)

Yesterday the ad was updated with a phone number and she finally responded to text.
She made me meet her at Walmart, which was interesting. I didn't even realize there was a walmart around here.

She stood at the doors to Walmart with the grill. I gave her a $10 and told her to keep the change.



I plan to put the carry/lid bale on my Mini OTG Weber modfication

Oh, and two of the legs are installed puckerbutt. I think I should switch the 3rd one to match, since we haven't seen a puckerbutt in a while.

Nice grab. Only at a Walmart, can you stand at the front door with an old grill, and you actually look normal. Walmart is to stores like MLK Jr. is to streets.

Nice one! Yes it would be kinda hard cooking on it being lop sided like that. And I think the wing nuts are suppose to be on the inside!

No where near enough love for the Jumbo Joe... I guess because they didn't make fun colors but they are absolutely awesome. Had one as my only grill (well... I guess I had a 4 burner gasser with a side burner, but it was really just a chimney starter) for a while and it did great.

No, keep it angled! Somebody will "invent" the angled grill one day but you already have one, FROM THE FUTURE.

ProTip: Use caution when placing hotdogs on grill.
