Finally started on the side table. I will build the entire table from pine and it will be 20x39 inches.

Side table would be a great thing to have, can't wait to it finished!

Progress. Still need to cut out for the kettle, shorten the legs 3/4 of an inch, sand and stain.

Looking good, plus you have an interesting garage.

Geez, I had a lot of fun slot car racing.

And that's not a "work table", that is a "fun table."

Troy

Damn I wish I was handy.

It looks like this would be easy for you to prefab and ship in peices it you wanted to get a little "side" business going!!!

While I am more than capable of building the same table, I don't have the tools I'd need to do it, so I would consider buying one from you.  I would need to buy a circular saw (or a mitre saw) as well as a jig saw (to cut the bowl end of the top boards), so that would be around $150 just in tools.  I suppose I could use handsaws, but that isn't as clean or fun!  I just don't know how economical it would be to actually ship them.  I do think you could ship them partially or entirely disassembled and most people would be able to screw it all together.  If you did all of the cutting and hardware mounting and that was it, I would think it would be pretty easy to do it in stages where you could get a fairly efficient assembly method going.

Great build!

I made a similar one over the summer, this is such a great fun project, and useful too. Can't wait to see it all stained up!
