Thanks for all the great comments guys!

I don't think I realized the rarity behind this one until I heard all the things posted. I mean I could date it, because of the guide, but it didn't occur to me that all you guys out there with crazy awesome collections wouldn't have one too. I feel really lucky to have this one, and I'm glad it can be enjoyed and appreciated by the club. Almost makes me not want to cook on it...almost!

I want to say thanks to @Craig for reaching out with a set of period correct wheels, and a deal is in the works for the correct ash pan too. Brian's hooking it up with whitewall tape for the wheels, so pretty soon this one will be complete with all original parts.

Thanks again all!

Justin, this could not have happened to a nicer guy.  Congrats!  It's simply gorgeous.

...now don't let me catch you piling this one in the back of your wife's car with three other grills, okay?   ;-)
One of the charcoal people.

Hey @mike.stavlund no grills were harmed (beyond repair) and all messes were cleaned before the wife got back in the car. Sure, mistakes were made, but lessons were learned too.

i.e. Don't try to transport grills standing up, not tied down, on curvy mountain roads, with snuffed out coals, lids off, and windows open, drinking coffee.

I sound so stupid now...
