After a stretch of just-missed, big (for me) scores and dealing w/ a CL chump, my luck seems to have changed.

I had to wait nearly 2 weeks for delivery (via family). Not knowing the date code was killing me. I held out meager hope that it was an "M" (1st prod. yr), like the one the b---- on CL sold out from under me last month, but it's an EE and I'm a happy camper anyway.  :)

The WSM family was curious...

...and later voiced their approval.

PS- Recently found that little cart on CL...it's a handy little BBQ aid.

Thanks for lookin, time to get cookin.

Nice find.  Glad it worked out for you, CL can be a miserable place to deal sometimes.  Any chance of getting a full shot of that little table as well? Is that a copper or a chocolate chilling uncovered in the background of one shot?

@charred I just got EI code Jumbo Joe brand new in box over the weekend and was so happy to find everything in perfect shape.  Just curious how your cooking grate fit, mine was a little snug going in.  Didn't just drop right in.

Congrats by the way, looks great!

@Santo...here's the cart. The block is 18" square.

;D

That's a 2014 Copper OTG in the background.

Funny you should mention a Brownie!

Coming soon, to a forum near you.... :D

Thanks! I may have to replicate that cart in some manner. HA, I think I speak for everyone when I say I'll be expecting pictures of the new addition.

@Josh G ...this one dropped in easy. I found a NIB DR ('06) last year and that grate had to be "helped" into place. Bowl slightly out of round was my ASSumption.

That's what it feels like to me.  Thanks!

Nice score!  I love my Outrider "M" code.  It's my go-to butt cooker.

I didn't realize that that design was called "Jumbo Joe".  I always thought that they were Outrider, then Smokey Joe Platinum.  I keep learning.

As for the cooking grate, they are slightly larger than a standard grate for an 18" kettle.  I have found that just some slight force is required to get it in place. Enjoy!
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Great score, the JJ is a capable cooker and maybe misunderstood to some extent.
Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work
This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......
