broken one touch platinum update

not sure if anyone remembers but I picked up this one touch platinum a couple of weeks ago off of craigslist for $10.00
I friend of mine is redoing his counter tops and will have a piece of butcher block for me to make a table out of soon.  I decided to make a template out of scrap and make sure I liked the size before cutting on the butcher block.  Here is the original and below is my first attempt at a new table.  I used the inside radius of the broken piece for the inside and the lid to make my corners on the outside.  I think it turned out pretty good and cant wait for the butcher block. I also added a thermometer to the lid'
