Happy Cooker Ash Pan
« on: August 09, 2015, 03:57:50 PM »
I saw a Happy Cooker pop up on Cl for $10. Problem is that it just way too far down the road to go, just to see if the pan is in good condition. From the pics, it looks just so so.

I would like to get a Happy Cooker ash pan for my Red MBH, but I rarely ever see them around here.

Are these things easy to get in other parts of the grilling universe?

Do they make long cooks on a MBH any different/better?  ???

Will I regret driving almost an hour to get this thing  :o

Anyone have an extra?  ;D

I probably won't lose any sleep over this, just thought I would see what you guys and gals thought.

The Happy Cooker Internal Ashpan is a part that lots of folks want just as you do.  If you don't grag it someone else will.  Do you want to share the link?

The pan looks good to me, but I wouldn't drive very far to get one.

That's even far for me, even farther for you. I didn't even think of the ash pan. Still, pretty far.

I just had one posted to me from the other side of the country as they never show up. Cost me $15 for the pan and $10 postage . Why don't you ask the seller if they will post, it's gotta be cheaper than petrol costs

that's pretty far south, wow. And it's an 18" grill - are the happy cooker ash pans different in those?
paging @Idahawk

There's one about 40 minutes from me, but its in an adjustable charcoal grate grill so the ash pan would have a nipple or something on the bottom.

Mine has the nipple... It actually looks like a leg socket. I cut half an inch off and it fits perfectly

There are two different sizes in the HC internal ash pans, the 18 size is extremely hard to find.

@Troy , I do believe it's a 22" HC.  I have a 22" HC lid on my full sized UDS with the same vent position.
