B Code Go Anywhere
« on: August 01, 2015, 09:53:19 AM »
Scored a B code Go-Anywhere at a local thrift store this week for $5.00. Took her out for a spin today for lunch. I've had a pair of 8lb butts on the SS Performer since 8 AM, so this was a perfect time for a test run.  Holy shit this thing is cool.  I'm pretty stoked about it. Can't wait to use it for more stuff.  I only took one action shot - we had 1/4 lb pork burgers on a bed of lettuce, with big mac sauce. We call it a "Pig Mac Salad"

Nice!  I was born in Rockford, pre-code, so it's fun for me to think about where this has been hiding all of these years.  Congrats!

I recently picked up a (much newer) GA for $10, and have really been enjoying using it (especially on several road trips).  They are great cookers!

Nice pick up.

I would love to have a "B" WGA to add to my collection of "B"s.

Wanna trade for a slightly newer wood handle WGA?
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan

Thanks Mike, I was a freshman in high school when this was built. I'm with you on where it's been all this time. 35 years in hiding is a long time!

Sorry, not yet. This is my first WGA, and the oldest in my stable at the moment... unless it's a red one...  8)

That's cool. I think the CGA of that era have the shorter legs vs. today's models.

Gummi, what did you mean by that?   A 'c' code WGA?  shorter legs?  does not compute.
