There is a NOS Westerner in Atlanta.  The owner is a member here. 
Yes, the coating is much thicker on the Westerner.  Can't compare it a newer model.

I also seem to recall someone showing up here with one that was a bit banged up that he cooked on as part of a restaurant deal.....memory fails as to where, when & who.... :o ::)

Yep,  It was/is in California. No lid from what I remember.  The sockets were detached from the bowl.

The bowl was used as a fire pit and the lid had been being used as a cooking hat in the restaurant on a big flattop.

I looked for the post about it in Member Introductions but couldn't find it.

It's interesting to see the subtle variations due to each kettle being stenciled and/or sprayed individually by hand. Each one is unique in it's own way - very cool grills.
