I just received the  new Aluminum disposal Smokettles. I am going to fire up the Kettle this evening and put on some split chicken breast and test it out. I have already used the Smokenator, Weber Baskets, Fire Bricks, Cajun Bandit and the Vortex. It will be interesting to see how the Smokettle works out.

Sounds interesting - post some action photo's

Does it just sit on the coals? Minion method or snake?
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

at 14.99 each plus $5 shipping, i think it's kinda spendy for an aluminum drip pan with holes in it.

They come 3 in a pack and sit on the same bracket as the cooking grate. The bottom of the pan sits about 3" above the coals. Yes pans are disposal but you could probably  use one several times before disposing of it. My split chicken breast turned out fine.

I'd give them a shot. They can probably be reused or even wrapped in tinfoil to reuse ( pierce the matching vent holes)

I have had the opportunity to use the SMOKettle 225 disposable. So far I have done 3 pit beefs at 350 for 2 hours each on the same insert. There has been no signs of burn through yet.
