I've been contemplating the standard rust / corrosion that inevitably develops on standard cooking grates.
And I just read the excellent guide for cleaning the triangle, which is also nickel plated:
http://weberkettleclub.com/weber-charcoal-grill-restoration/triangle-restoration-rust-removal/I mention that because in one example a razor blade scrapes off light rust to reveal the original nickel-plated steel.
Is that correct?
I like my GBS grate but the center section especially seems to have no nickel coating on it anymore. Unless it keep it scrupulously scraped and oiled it looks pretty sad. Used less than 2 years.
