I have started the Restoration of my Black MasterTouch and am having issues getting older water spots out of the finish. I have done the 0000 Steel wool, and have actually even used some of my car polishes and waxes to try and get it to look like new again and not having any luck. Tied some vegetable oil in a small spot and not real happy with that either. Obviously this one had not lived a sheltered life at all, but I want to make it look as good as possible.

Anyone have any tricks to bring out the shine and remove the water spots? I am about ready to break out the buffer and see if I can get it to shine that way.

Thanks in advance...

Tom

It may be mineralized stuff from hard water or even acid rain (happens nowdays)

Test out a little CLR or other de-mineralizing product.....
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

Is it water spots or is it faded? Can you attach a picture?
I don't see colors, I just see kettles....And I want them all !!!
I like Pig Butts and I cannot lie.
I've seen the wild horses,   I've heard the bullroarers.
