I would either keep the OTP and get the WSM, or sell the OTP, find a cheap $20 OTS off Craigslist, and buy the WSM. At the end of the day, there isn't that much of a difference in what you can do between a performer and an OTS.  But if it was me, I would do as you say and keep the OTP and get the WSM.
Looking for Blue Mastertouch or Blue Performer.

Currently have: Performer (Green); 22.5 Mastertouch (Red); 26.75 OTG;  22.5 WSM; 18.5 WSM; Jumbo Joe; SJS (Green Uline); SJG (used for Mini WSM); Blue SS Performer; Blue MBH; Summit

Yeah, This OTP is pretty good and i got it dirt cheap but getting that gas assist to speed up the prep time might finally convince my wife to join team charcoal once and for all! She still gives me the eye roll when i fire up a chimney with my gas grill 3 feet away.

Wildcard.  Get a 26.

I have the performer, WSM, and the 26.  The performer is the daily driver.

Sound advice in this thread. The wsm is a great smoker and not great for grilling. I'm a performer guy at heart but my 26r outgrills it in every way.

So this popped up in my feed. Amazing how old posts come back to life 3.5 years and many many grills later

I love and use my performer more than my wsm. In saying that I modified my wsm so I can put in another grate 5 inches from the top grate which allows me to use the wsm as a kettle along with a slow n dear or vortex. Best of both.

Get a Performer Deluxe NOW.   When you want to turn out perfect Turkey on T-day, or easy Pulled-Pork, or Texas Brisket, then you really will benefit from the WSM.  BUT, the Perf Dlx is the GoTo daily machine.  Coals usually ready before the meat is prep'd.   Do it NOW.
