First Brisket on 22.5" WSM
« on: January 05, 2015, 05:20:12 PM »
With a two week baby, unfortunately I couldn't attend the SoCal meetup in Dana Point this past weekend. So what better thing to do then attempt my first brisket! It turned out amazing, and my whole family was very happy with the result.

Also did a tri tip on the kettle a few nights back. The pics make it seem more rare then it was, but it was very delicious.

Nice work! My first cook on my WSM was also a brisket and we were super happy with the results. I did not get the awesome smoke ring as much as you, but still, very happy!

Although I've used my new WSM about 10 times in the last few months, this was my first brisket attempt ever! I was very happy with the results and recommend following the Weber recipes and techniques anytime you are trying something new.
