hey greg  is the metal thicker than grills stamped now days ?

GregS

i'm not sure if the metal is any thicker, i'm sure someone knows, and will post it.  i suspect it may be.

but the paint is thicker, that i have noticed.  my '14 had just enough paint to cover the lid.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

I believe the old metal was a smidge thicker.....the coating was for sure....

Ed Reilly weighed a bunch of different sizes & models, new & old & most all the old ones were heavier.....the 26" I think, was about the same.....
