Zavod's handles are like the Kobe beef of Weber kettle handles!  Fantastic!.  Here's a couple of walnut handles I got from him last week.  Love the contrast with the green kettle...

Now then, speaking of contrast, how about NO contrast?  I got a wild hair up the ass and painted some plastic handles.  You know, just in case the need arises for some block ops grilling.

Or used ebony?  Wood is definitely far better than plastic (even for black ops grilling).  I was just bored the other day and pulled out the spray paint.

you like the way they turned out?  Ebony might go good on the Jumbo Joe I picked up last week,

you need that for your birdseye but it'd work nice on ash or any lighter toned woods really well.

i wouldn't use it on dense or dark woods like walnut, rosewood or ebony though, i doubt it'd be noticeable or penetrate.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

That would look badass! Especially on a black MBH.

I would love some. I'd like to replace the plastic on my performer. What's the cost?

Even the black stain looks gray.  It's not "black".  It might make the low spots of the grain look black, but it won't be black.  Your best bet is ebony, if you want truly black wood....

Harris sent me a nice oak handle by Brian. I put it on a PP Red I picked up a few days ago:

I am pretty sure the Weber logo was not on the handles at this point but I had to see this handle on something and this kettle was asking for it. This looks very sweet:
