I've seen reference here to a SS Ash sweep.  What model and when was this available?  Was the 7409 ever stainless?  How about the 7444?

What are the non-SS ash sweeps made of?  Steel?  Tin?  Aluminum?  They sure can corrode.

Thanks, Pete

The stainless steel ash sweep part number is 90720.  Weber still had them in stock a few months ago and I ordered a couple of them.  The CSR led me to believe they would not be available forever.  I can't remember the exact price but they were reasonable.  Good luck.

Yeah, not much more than the regular 7444s, and I think they work a lot better (and obviously last a lot longer).  There is a thread on them somewhere around here.

They were original equipment on some models of the plastic-table Performer... that's where I found my first one in the wild.

When I searched for that part, I came up with this, 90993.  Do you think this is the SS?  I've seen references to it being the same.

Pretty sure 90993 is NOT the part number you are looking for if you want SS.  Part 90720 is through Weber only and  I think the link Mike posted above is where I got the idea to order mine.

I thought that number looked familiar.  I ordered a set from ereplacement when I restored a red 22" last year.

Thanks.  This apparently is not the SS unit.  Not sure the diff between this and the 7444.

Part # 90720 is the SS set.  I ordered a couple sets back in 2010 for $7 and change each.

Just ordered three of these (90720) direct from Weber.  Still available as of Oct '14.  $12.65 ea.

Received these today.

Looking at my SS Performer, it looks like it may have an SS ash sweep.  Is there a way to know?

How can I ID an SS vs Aluminium ash sweep?

What kettles originally came with an SS ash sweep?

Thanks, Pete

If I open my eyes once and a while, I can figure these things out for myself.

Would SS Sweeps have come on all OTG, OTD, OTP, and performers from all years, or just some years?

Is the sweep on the new MT SS?

You effing idiot.  Obviously, the 7409 you cut off your '99 SS Performer wasn't SS.  Maybe your '04 is SS.

Would SS Sweeps have come on all OTG, OTD, OTP, and Performers from within the "H" ash sweep era?

Do the current and recent models come with SS ash sweeps?

The "H" style is still current but they only made the setup in stainless steel for a few years around 10 years ago. Not sure which models. It's a great retrofit but a shame they couldn't / didn't continue them since.
