Awesome review! I can't wait to get my Performer! Although, it'll be a little easier to wait now since I just talked my wife into letting me get an 18.5" Silver One-Touch to hold me over in the meantime :D

Any chance Brian can test fit the new lid bale setup on an older SS performer like he did for the tabletop?

Can we order the new bale, rollers and other parts to attach it to our SS Performers?

I believe they can be retrofitted to the older performers.....

I actually think this table is nicer than the stainless....the stainless is a lot of work to take care of and it can get scratched up.  I think this table will wear very nicely.  I suppose you can always polish out stainless, but this is very nice.  It will serve me very well.  The only question I have now is do I put my sage back in this cart and have a new for 2015 Sage performer.....

I only use kettles with lid bales.

@zavod44  As cool as the copper is, the sage would look killer in that new table..

Actually, I could replace it with, a red, a blue a sage or a dark green....

Thanks for the review.

BETTER than the SSP? Heresy!  ;)

Only improvement, imo, is the bale.  8)

you need to change them with your mood.

call it the mood kettle.  ;)

The awkward handle in the middle of the stainless steel performer table knocks it down a few notches.  Plus those old stainless carts rot real bad.  These new carts will last much longer.

The handles on my SSPs are conveniently offset, leaving me plenty of workspace.  ;)  If in my way, I'd remove them.

Weak frames are easily shored-up w/ some out-of-sight L brackets. I don't move mine around too much, but I do like the handles that are included for that purpose. (That reminds me....after seeing footage of one of those annual "Carry-the-Wife" races, I think Weber should sponsor something similar, w/ the wife sitting in the bowl of an SSP instead of hanging over hubby's shoulder).

The SSP gas tank is cool and environmentally sound.  8)

SSPs are the best-looking grill+table product Weber's ever made....imHo.

Naturally, ymmv.  :)

So your saying Brian that the new Performer is the best and the SS is now a close second? The new one looks like the best of both worlds.
