Weber kettle 'garden'
« on: September 29, 2014, 10:38:17 PM »
For months I've been wanting to take a picture up at the cabin with a bunch of colored kettles arranged to resemble a flower garden but either the yard was torn up or the weather was bad or I was too busy with other projects and so I was never able to do so until this past weekend. You've really go to use your imagination to see a flower garden. Actually, I'll admit that it doesn't even look the slightest bit like a flower garden. But I had fun playing around and Doreen had fun watching me.

Dale-
Great line-up.   I especially like the final pic of you "cookin it up" on that yellow kettle.

Well done!

Looks like the 4 blacks are judges - presenting to the multi-colored jury.  Or maybe not.  It's early.

Geez guys, thanks for all the kind words.  :D

The Yellow was the one I found in the woods last October (less than two miles from this location). It might be hard to believe but this was my first cook on it! Wish I could report that it was some sort of 'manly' meat dish but it was simply an experiment with roasting some very thinly sliced beets and potatoes. [They turned out tasting pretty good but were a real hassle to manage.... Next time I might try doing them in a basket on the rotisserie instead.] You might be able to see the change in color of the heated Yellow in these two pics.

Thanks much, Mark. That's a nice looking Limey isn't it?  ;)  I know it must have been a tough decision for you to let her go. I really appreciate that you gave me the opportunity to give her a new home. I try to keep her happy, and she gets along real well with the other kettles.

What an outstanding collection Dale! So many rare gems in that flower garden! And who else in the world can say they FOUND a yellow MBH out in the woods... just awesome!

The 22" Brownie MBH is another beauty that caught me eye. So much kettle goodness in one place 8)
