PS: That may very well be the very best example yet of one of these, also !!!!!

Very minimal rust on the kettle itself & the rest of it CAN be cleaned & cleared ............

Wow, whats the story?

Yesterday I spotted this on CL, 7 hours after it was posted. IN THE FREE SECTION. There was one pic.

Communication w/ the owner was a nightmare, and I wasn't even sure it would be there when I left at 6:30 to go get it.

The guy said it was left by the previous owners and that it was "about 15 years old" and worn, but still worked.

With the knowledge I got from this place, I knew it was a 56-57. BUT, I wasn't aware of this paint scheme. I thought someone had had some fun somewhere along the way and had psychodelecized it!

When I returned home, I logged in and saw the pic of the one here and couldn't believe my luck.

Basically I took a nice drive through gorgeous upstate NY, bought some great produce, and was given this classic.

Pinch pinch pinch!

Beautiful grill.  Thanks for sharing pictures!   :)

That's awesome, looks like the wheels are white.  Does the pan look like it was painted?

Don't let that grill go!!  That's an epic find.

Mind blown.....first the Custom now this.  That is in better condition than kettles half its age.  Twist ash pan and ash bottom tray.  Congratulations....it'll be tough for you to top that one.
