C&B Green Grass Performer
« on: July 26, 2014, 07:40:24 PM »
Picked this up today on Offer Up for $160 with cover and "matching" green BBQ utensils.  Looks to have been used less than 5 times. This is how it looked when I picked it up. Also, they had it listed as a "Crate & Barrel Charcoal Grill"....had to chuckle at that one. Now, if I could just find a 3200 warming rack!

Looks like the one from DFW. Good catch. We have been eyeballing it since it came up. That's the way to start it off  bro. Let's get some action pics!

It IS the one from DFW! Swore off gassers 3 years ago. Was drawn towards the C&B greenie for reasons I can't explain. Ended up buying a black performer. Started following the WKC from a distance and really cussed myself for not getting the green or a color other than black. Saw it this week and had to get it. Am now battling my wife on keeping two...one for the back patio and one for the front driveway! Think I'll sell the black and keep my eyes open for a vintage greenie as my "side piece". First grill on the C&B will either be bone-in beer brined pork chops or a couple of porterhouses. Y'all are awesome!

Welcome to the Club! Great pick up... that C&B green looks great! I agree w/ the selling the black performer... just make sure that vintage greenie you pick up as your side piece is a green SS Performer  8)

Keep the Blackie for trade bait. And start doing more multi temp cooks where low and slow and high heat direct cooks need to come off at the same time. The pain of 7 grills on the condo patio has lessened somewhat with the wife because I keep getting better and better at using them. And the fact I'm cooking dinner all the time now.

I think it was idahawk who said "I'll stop collecting grills when you stop collecting shoes."

Welcome to the WKC Pistols, what is the vent code on that super clean looking C&B green cooker.
May I suggest the porterhouse steaks this evening with just a small (golf ball sized) chunk of cherry wood
for a light kiss of smoke. Keep BOTH performers you'll need them.

Good question and I really don't have an answer for ya, I do know there are quite a few owners of green C&B performers on here, we should be able to nail down the years they were offered. I know C&B is peddling the dark blue/purplish performers
now.

I've got a AU 2012 code and think pistols is correct in saying this was the last year for the C&B. Anybody with an AT?
