Answered a CL ad and went to pick up a Green OTG. I want to use the bucket on my redhead.

While arranging a time, the seller says he has another one I can take a look at. Asked him what it looks like.

"I think it's better it's a Char Broil charcoal grill black pretty nice"   :o

When I arrived, I took an obligatory look at the CharBroil, but told him I was after the green one.

While checking out the green one, he calls me to the back and says take a look at this one...

I'm sure I've seen pictures of these before...

It's actually in really good shape...

I actually like the triangle...

What's throwing me is the bowl handle. Top handle is wood. Now that I think about it, they're probably mis-matched.

If you want to throw it in, I'll take it.

And I did.

Planter?    ;D

Dude, relax your chicken.

Only plastic bowl handle I've ever seen like that.....Sears & Roebuck, pared down version, built by Weber, but this may be the missing link !!!!!

They had different handles  on most all we've seen..............
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

My buddy had one like that with the ring on the bowl. I think the brand on the lid handle said Kenmore? Not sure though.... Great price!

Yeah, I think they put it under the Kenmore name later on.....that's why I was saying "Missing Link"

It also pays off to talk to a seller to see if they want to get rid of anything else. Dazzo you seem to get some really unsual items. Keep up the good work.
Two '86 Red OT 22's (sold one G), '85 Red OT 22, '88 Red OT 22's, '93 Red MT 22 (aka Donna), '93 Red SS Performer (non-gas and non-casters), '02 Green OTP( my brother in law has it now), '04 Green OTG

It was around the corner of the house, I didn't see it. I was playing with the flip up grate cause it was jammed. He called me over and said "maybe this grate is better."

I immediately started taking pictures.

I'm kicking myself because I didn't ask about the ash pan though.

Maybe buckie has a third one. But we'll have to see if that one pans out.    :o

So " L"....1989.....wood handle, one screw?

This is, or must be some kind of clue, or missing link to some question we haven't perhaps even asked yet, but.....................
I digress............................hypnotically....................... 8)

Sears was still doing sort of OK at that time.....beginning to head for the big dive, but not there yet........

i wonder also, if the lid was jumped off some other kettle at some point along the line?

The missing link.

Single screw wood handle lid. The consensus is that it's not original. I would love to see the plastic handle on the lid. Does Brian make plastic handles?    :o

My second favorite triangle...

This will be going up on the trading post instead of in my garden as a planter.
