If I had known, I would have sent you home with a new set on Saturday. Did you find 7409s on Amazon?

No worries Marty, I switched my rig over to the newer 7444.  (I have a new 7409 in the shed though, but don't tell anyone.)

The build is on hold for a couple days, as I just don't have the heart to put the ratty old ash sweep back into this sweet bowl.  ;-)   Amazon will bring me my new one on Thursday.

Gotta love Amazon Prime  8)

First cook on the new bowl and lid. I decided to cook some corn in honor of the good karma another WKCer spread by sharing the corn-and-tater ring with me last summer.

Only needed to use one hose clamp, as the leg tabs line up almost perfectly.

Yes, it was raining.  I couldn't wait another day.

And galantine chicken with charred jalepenos on her sister.

The rain is dried off the kettles now.

Yeah, that charcoal bin is really sweet Ron.  Thanks for the photo!  Does it keep the charcoal dry, or does rain come in through that hinge?
