Surf 'n' 'Turds....................

 ....or Surf 'n' Turf 'Turds.....or something like that................... :o

The wife wanted some type of lamb thing for Easter & not having a roti so as to do up a nice leg like Mr. Stavilund did.......

We got a de-boned leg........

Wife made up a big batch of her 'Dead Fish Salad'......tiny cooked shrimp, radishes, celery, small pasta shells, some light seasoning, in a lite mayo type dressing.....pretty good stuff.....(just the start, actually more colorful)


While she worked on that, I asked her to hold out a small batch of shrimps & I started chunking up the lamb for skewers......this always seems like a lot of work to me, but I did end up with a bunch of 'scrape' & small bits from taking all the seams out of the lamb......

 Chopped a bit finer & added McCormick's Woosty pepper, ground sumac & some parm all mixed in.....


Got some peppers ready & made a few variations......



the baby bells got a dab of cream cheese & the chopped lamb mix, a few got cr. cheese & a strip of lamb & some got tiny shrimplets & a strip of lamb.........Surf 'n' Turf 'Turds !!!!





Marked the shrimp ones for easy I.D.:



On the 18 Red.............

And 'Turds.....


The Surf 'n' Turf were grate.....you could taste the lamb & the shrimp a little each....... :D

 Minor update......somebody got a lamb bone out of the deal & she's not letting go of it !!!



 I threw it on the smoker kettle after the "turds.......

Those skewers look amazing! I gotta find me one of those skewer rings. Grate show Buckie  8) and the surf'n turds really sound good with the lamb and shrimp combo.

Only here would anything called a surf-n-turd sound like something good. Around here they call it turd surfing near the Tijuana river outlet because....well you get the picture.

That all looks fantastic, mate!!

Those "turds" made my mouth water...Anything wrapped in bacon can't be a bad thing in my book!!  I also like the skewer ring.
