I just can't do it, what is the matter with me?

So last fall I scored a once cooked on extremely rare Detroit Lions Master-Touch
http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/scored-my-two-favorite-hobbies-in-one

Since it has been cooked on it is not NIB but it is like new.  However, I just can't cook on it.  Every time I go to cook I go to the SS Blue, the Red head or the Kamado.
Is there something wrong with me?

should I just sell it since I can't come to terms with cooking on it?
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Keep it, love it. :) Nothing wrong with a looker, especially since you already have a cooker. :)

Don't sell it!!! I have a NIB Chicago Bears SJ that I can't bring myself to use and probably never will....yours is especially rare being a MT...you barely ever see those!

Almost all of my SJs are NIB, except they are displayed in the garage. I have no intention of ever cooking on them and they are most certainly not going anywhere.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Boltz, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I've studied some psychology, and what I can tell you with certainty is that this is Kamado-related guilt.  If you're ever going to find freedom, you need to sell the Kamado, buy another Weber, and keep the Lions MT like-new.  Trust me on this.

Maybe it's because the lions have sucked so bad for so many years and your sub conscious is afraid the weber can't overcome the lion curse and the food will be ruined on it.

Ted,

Coincidentally, when I bought this they were 6 - 3 and playoff bound with Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers shelved for weeks.  We know how that turned out.

Mike,

Exact what is the name of the condition of my Kamado related guilt called?  I will say this, at least I am not like those whack jobs at Kamadoguru.com who say they love their cookers so much their weber collect dust.

When I contacted Weber, they said only 8 to 10 of them were made per team and they were never sold.

Boltz, you seem quite defensive, which is common in cases of Kamado Guilt.

Please remember, I'm just trying to help.

So only slightly less made per team than games played in a season per team. :)

There's nothing wrong with having a grill that you don't cook on.  You have others to handle the cooking duties.  But maybe look at it this way.  If you DO cook on it, maybe your Lions will win and not gag down the stretch again!  LOL  And no, I'm NOT a Bears fan!  Display it and be proud of it!
Kettle collector AND cooker!

I agree with Stavlund.  It all comes down to the Kamado.

That is amazing if accurate.  The term rare is used often..but that IS ratr indeed.  I would still cook on it. Game days or something.  Not many people can say they cook on a grill like that.

I wouldn't bother. That grill was "sold" as a collectible to be cherished however you see fit. Cooker or looker. You already know what the MT cooks like. When the Lions win the Super Bowl in a few decades it'll be worth more "cooked-on-once only" ;) and dibs on the Kamado. lol
