Well, the weather is finally breaking on the east coast. Yard work is done - firing up a couple chimneys of lump for the 26. My kind of evening.

The 26 is one fine cooker. If I had to choose one - this would be it. Luckily I don't have to make that choice :)

Man that looks good! A 26er is my goal for this summer if one doesn't come up on CL soon I might have to spend the $$$ on a new one.

How well do those potato nails work? I've seen them at the store and been tempted...

the potato nails work really good, cooking from the center like that plus from the outside as normal, they get done fast & evenly cooked............

nice fully loaded cookup  Mr. Miller !!!

I second Buckie's comments- they work very well. It does help to cook the taters faster. I may pick up an additional pack - there are six to a pack.

Thanks - I use the 26 a lot. It is fun to fill it up. It is nice to have the extra real estate when doing indirect. The chicken legs, acorn squash, and potatoes were indirect. Smoke wood was persimmon - this is my first use, and I really like it. Mild like other fruit woods.
Meal was rounded out with roasted red/ jalapeƱo peppers and steamed asparagus in the foil. Having some leftovers for dinner tonight.

I am in NJ as well (northern). It was really nice yesterday - felt good to fire up the grill.

They are nice - I got one in 2009 when they first reintroduced it. Have used mine a lot.

Northern NJ here as well!  It's a good area, Jersey gets a bad reputation but outside of California I'm not sure I'd want to live anywhere else in the country.
