1956 Custom Bar B Que Kettle UPDATED MORE PICS...
« on: November 23, 2013, 05:04:09 AM »
A buddy brought this over yesterday.  It was nice to see one of these in person.  The utility pan was not porcelain coated.

Any chance I can get a close up vent shot of that one? And I hope a nice new camera is under your tree this year Stephen!  ;D

It is an 18.5"

Marty, I will get you a vent shot.  It is a standard Wood dale vent.  I have a Nikon SLR on the way from B & H Photo.  Got a nice "Black" Friday deal.  Tired of using the IPhone as a camera  LOL :)

I don't believe yours is a 56 because the vent code would be a Chicago not wood dale. Craig probably can give a better age

Yes, this is Ed's kettle. We had a "mini" meet up yesterday.  I will get a shot of the vent.  It was a Wood Dale vent.  Good point about it not being a Chicago vent.  The utility pan was interesting. It was made out of the same material as the legs.  I had never seen one in person.

Very nice Harris, it's always a pleasure to see a grill like that. I can't wait to see more mini meet pictures.

Can you show us the underside of that grill and pan when you get a chance?
