Babybacks on the Ranch
« on: July 05, 2024, 08:26:32 AM »
Babybacks on the ranch..... one rack traditional and one with a homemade asian inspired sauce that Kellee made.  Indirect cook using Jealous Devil XL lump with cherry wood chunks buried underneath.  This cooker holds temps extremely well and made some fantastic ribs!  Didn't get a plating pic - too busy with the grand daughter. : )  Pics illustrate the setup, SNS XL on the right, two drip n griddles and lots of foil underneath the indirect area..... cooked for two hours at 250F, wrapped and cooked another two hours at 250F, foil boat for an hour at 250F to a mahogany finish.  Beaux's ribs were only lightly salted and are in the front.  Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

the Ranch is a low and slow machine for sure
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Thanks guys, always fun cooking on this big-un.  It's also surprisingly easy to clean - maybe due to the massive amounts of foil I use lol....

[emoji1360] @bamakettles!
Definitely learned the foil and drip pans cut my quarterly cleaning a ton back when I was grilling/smoking much more than this past year.

I get my foil at Costco…. Nice wide roll and lasts me about a year.  Wanna say it’s $35 - $40.  The roll comes with us on vacation lol…

I love seeing the Ranch in action! You’ve motivated me to switch up my rib technique.
