First off, shout out to @502BBQ who was the first in person WKC member (grate guy) that I met in my area. He sold me his LT. Dan special (26.75" kettle with an extra lid, broken leg sockets, and the 22" OTP cart). Thank you.

My first "real" restore/mod project. Busy summer and limited knowledge it took me a bit to get to this special newbie project.

Due to NOT being able to find a lime green kettle in a year I intertwined that color into my project (no, I'm not a Monster Energy Drink groupie but the color scheme may lead others to believe I am).

Thanks to other members on WKC who helped with their very similar project posts and even others that provided info on the larger handle, part numbers and options! Truly a giving and humble community of experts.

Used hammered paint as a base to restore side tables (mentioned in another thread) then clear coat on top and like the results. My bro-in-law helped me with making customized lid clips to stay true to original Weber design. They're about 3" longer than those clips for the 22" kettle configuration.

Okay, I'll shut up, thanks to all. Here the pics....

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Wow, holy wow! That looks amazing @Gringo I'm not surprised at how it turned out and how quickly you did it.
Your enthusiasm when you picked up told me you would do great things.

Can't wait to see the first cook!

Looks like you hit the details pretty well!  Slick looking grill.

Love what you did to one of my favorite designs ever. Those carts have such a look and you did it justice with all the details. Great work !

Thanks all for the generous comments and encouragement!

I found another grate deal with another OTP with table and learned something, the clips (lime green in my project) which I thought were clips to secure the bowl (4 total) don't go on the bowl at all.

There were only two......So my statement "trying to stay with original design" I wasn't even close!!  Those clips only hold the lid holder rod to the table in original config. They work and hold the 26" bowl down well so they're staying!

Been traveling quite a bit this month. Hope to get back home, grilling (taking cook pics) and finishing another project!
