Thanks to the WKC in Iowa for making this happen.  They are awesome!

An interesting not about the handles.  The hole was drilled all the way through each handle (hole at top and bottom).
One of the defects Don was referring to.

"18 yellow is looking on....

The last pic is of the wheels I took off.  The original owner (Don) said they were not replacements. The were very rusty when I got them.  I found some similar at Lowes but they were not as heavy as these.  This set also has no markings...who knows ???

I like the colors more than black almost universally, but this Wood Dale is so damn awesome.  It really is kind of perfect in it's simple elegance.

I agree, very nice. Who are all of our Iowa members?

I think there's one member in eastern Iowa and another (Sparky) is from southwest Iowa.

HalfGrilled in Cedar Rapids scored this for me.  I was just interested in the wheels.  I left the rest with him. The wheels cleaned up great!

I don't know of anyone from the Des Moines Polk county/ Dallas county area on here. If so, they might have scored that Ranger back in May..

Looks better Harris.  Im glad to see you flipped the triangle over the right way. It was upside in your previous pics with the avocado and red.  Also, is that a new triangle and new or resprayed ash pan?  The last ash pan and triangle were painted that greyish sort of color to match each other. (See below link)

Yeah, I saw it was upside down but was too lazy to flip it until the new wheels came in.  I changed the color of the ash pan.  I found some good chrome colored paint.  It was still a bit tacky in the picture and the finish has flattened out.  The ash pan is original but extremely discolored.  Only thing I could think of was to put some type of paint on it.

The triangle was discolored also.  Painted it too.  Also, flipped the triangle on the Chief.  With so many kids running around my house and yard it is sometimes hard to think straight.... :D ;)

I must be the rudest person in the world, I got caught up in wondering about Iowa members I forgot to comment on your new wheels! They look sharp! I like them on their better than the other ones, but that's just personal preference.  ;)

Jeff

Ive done the same thing with painting the ash pan a few times Harris.  It works and looks good.  I usually use an aluminum colored paint as opposed to chrome...just a personal preference.  I think that Wooddale looks better now.
