Thanks for the comments and pics guys.  It's nice to have some conversation going on the forum again.  Wife's birthday is this weekend, hope to do the cook but it's her weekend so we'll probably go shoe shopping lol.....
She's going to work up an appetite shoe shopping,  so be prepared to cook

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I'd rather be home cooking than shoe shopping. Hope you both enjoy the day.

Bama, I’ll cast my vote for the Brownie, but I’d be cool to see what it looks like in the OTP.

Have a great birthday celebration weekend!

Thanks all….. picked up the pork roast tonight at Publix, gunna shop early tomorrow then put it on, Sunday is her actual birthday so she’s ok with me giving a little attention to a Weber tomorrow.  I have cherry and apple pellets.  Which should I use?  Blend?  I have no idea what I’m doing with these lol.

I’d say blend it!  Both go well with pork.

Are you guys using a Stacker to get more cooking space or are you satisfied with the kettle only?

Went with the OTP blue and the Spider 22 fits  perfectly.  Roast is ready to go on, waiting for Charger Blue to heat up.  ThermoWorks signals in place to monitor temps.  It’s a cold windy day, so this should be a good test of it’s capabilities.

First try, fail.  Got to 90F and then dropped temp….. I’m missing charcoal already.

I’m thinking this was a big mistake.

Did a full shutdown that took 15 mins and restarted.  Grill made it to temp pretty quickly, overshot a bit then settled in.  Butt is on and seems to be doing well.
