Veil Riblets
« on: August 07, 2022, 02:19:52 PM »
I visited a local grocery store yesterday and came across several packages of veil riblets for around $4.50 lb.

Never cooked them but at that price, thought let’s give it a roll

Used a Jamaican jerk rub that I’m fond of and
Smoked at 325F for 3 hours.

Well they are certainly tasty!  I will be doing these again!

Sounds like a fun thing to try for sure!  What’s the Jamaican rub that you used?

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

This is a very mild but flavorful jerk seasoning. I use it a lot on vegetables and chicken

Nice looking cook, I don’t believe I’ve seen veil riblets before.

I love the flavors of jerked chicken, pork, etc. , but my wife is not a fan of spicy stuff. Sounds like this could be a good fit. [emoji106]

My guess is she will like this one.  Note that this a salt free rub. I usually use kosher salt first then hit it with this.
