Watermelon

Why? Because I can.
The verdict? Not real crazy about it. If you just want to eat some watermelon, chilled is better. But I think the grilled melon might be right at home in a salsa.

I've heard of it but never tried it.

Maybe wrapped in bacon.

If you want some grilled fruit go for some grilled pineapple.  Fresh or canned rings works nice.

Agree, grilled pineapple rings are amazing.

As are peaches, plums, pears, and even bananas and strawberries.

I've done peaches, and loved those with ice cream, and I've done whole pineapple on the rotisserie, which was really good. Plums and bananas sound good, too. Strawberries are intriguing -- think I might have to throw a few in a basket. Bacon-wrapped melon made me LOL!

I’lol have to find the recipe again, but I’ve grilled watermelon cubes marinated in a soy sauce mixture and added to a salad.  It had a crazy sashimi like texture.
