Confused with the title? Yeah good.
I have a Q100 that had a slightly rusty CI grill. A call to Weber CS on Tuesday, has seen a new grill delivered this morning! Kudos once again to Weber CS.
And here is what I ended up with. If you have any questions, fire away.
I trimmed the sides to fit the width. But rather than trim the length to make it fit, I decided to keep the finger holes and cut down the middle.
I needed to remove one bar thickness from the centre to make the length work. I thought I may need to grind off the raised sections on the bottom to make it sit flat, but there was no need.
I don't think the ovaloid shape on the corners is too much of an issue. I would have preferred a flush meeting in the corners, but such is life.
I still need to tidy up the cut edges, but I think on the whole it's pretty good.
P.S. As a side note, if you are also a member on an Australian BBQ forum and your name starts with, or contains any of the following, buddah or Bill44, please
refrain absolutely from making any comments on this thread or any other that I may start.
