A Late Hello
« on: March 03, 2021, 06:48:54 PM »
Hi All.

Just realized I never properly introduced myself to the community, so greetings for the San Francisco Bay Area.  I love grilling, smoking/BBQ and, generally, all live fire cooking. My wife thinks I already have too many kettles with three (one performer for regular grilling, one 22" kettle for a pizza oven and a third 22" for rotisserie and regular grilling) two WSMs (22" and 14" - on the lookout for an 18" to complete the collection and those Goldilocks situations when one is too big and the other is too small) a Weber Summit S-620 Summit gasser that I bought used but had to do a pretty decent restoration on, a couple of Smokey Joes and a Q-2200 for camping and tailgating. Looking to round out the collection with a 26" one of these days.  I'm also always looking at accessories to expand my options and optimize the grills - currently looking at griddles.

Thanks!

Welcome from Huntsville, Alabama!  Same boat here with my wife, but she’s always interested in what I bring home.  Hard to be jealous of a cute little kettle she says....love cooking on a WSM as well.  You’re in good company here!

Welcome to the Forum mcdev from another Bay Area grillfella.  There is a pretty large contingent of WKC members in the SF Bay Area.  Usually, we get together twice a year for WKC events.  We were not able to hold either event in 2020 due to COVID restrictions.  Hoping just maybe to get everyone vaccinated by October for the annual WKC Beach Gathering at Seacliff State Beach this year. Here's a link to a thread with photos from the 2019 event.

Fingers crossed for a lot of things this year, late-summer/early-fall.  The meetup looks like a lot of fun:  Hopefully its a go this year.
