Hello all,

I wanted to share photos of my first "modded" Weber kettle.  For some time I have wanted to elevate my camp cooking to include smoking ribs, pulled pork, beef chuck, etc.

Trying to come up with a solution is what led me to this forum and I have shamelessly stolen many good ideas seen here.  My solution is a Sam Adams 18" kettle with the following mods:  Jumbo Joe handle, lid lock (THANKS to JEBIV!), removable shorty legs made from the Home Depot shower curtain, and a BBQITALL ring that should help with the snake method.  Nothing really new or exciting as this has all been done, but I did want to say thanks to everyone for posting best practices that I was able to follow.

Love it, should make an awesome camp grill
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

That's a good idea with the jumbo joe lid lock. Does it actually lock into the top handle when closed/transporting?
