Weber/popcorn kettle.
« on: October 10, 2020, 12:51:27 PM »
It's an ongoing project. Picked up the popcorn kettle a month back for $20 with the intention of tuning it into a fire pit  or a grill.  Originally came with a convex bottom  so it took a lot of effort reshaping it to accommodate the ash can assembly and one touch cleaning system.  The wall are roughly 12 gauge and weighs in at over 50 lbs.
Got some old Royal oak briquettes that came with a kettle i recently picked up so decided to do some burn in and at same time monitor temperatures.

HMMM.  The lid almost looks like candy apple paint.  The sweeps appear double stacked.  you do you.  Looks like a rotisserie set up.

From mild to wow.[emoji122] Not over engineered IMHO. Beautiful for a metal cooking buoy

@Jules V. Any and all information on this would be much appreciated. I have 2 Performers and would love to control them with the Billows.
