Top Vent Placement

Interesting feedback from Weber.  I always put my top vent over the food.   I think Weber used to tell you to do this, too.

I wonder about this often.  I always keep vent on opposite side.  But the space on a kettle is small enough, that it seems like the heat and smoke will hit the meat no matter where the vent is positioned.

I like my Kettles like my coffee....strong and black.
