Mid Week BBQ on the Gulf
« on: August 26, 2020, 05:58:30 AM »
It’s Wednesday, more family arriving today - sunny skies as the hurricane goes far west of us and the pork shoulder is on the redhead.  Using the slow n sear 2.0 and drip n griddle.  Too windy in the back, had to move the kettle and supplies to the front.  Pulled pork will be tomorrow’s dinner, burgers and brats tonight.  Love grilling at the beach.....

Looks grate!   Are you in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach?   We’ll be in Orange Beach in October.   I’ll have a kettle with me for sure.

We are on St George Island - Apalachicola area about 90 miles East of Panama City.  SO glad we are this Far East due to the hurricanes..... And glad I brought the full sized kettle.

I hope and pray that the folks west of you in Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas stay safe during Hurricane Laura.

Nice setup for beach cooking!

Post a pic of finished pork shoulder.

Cheers

Agreed....looks to be getting stronger unfortunately.  The kettle is sitting on 250 like a trooper, spritzed once and added a chunk of apple wood, otherwise haven’t touched the vents.  Top open, bottom about 1/4 open.

How do you like the BBQ Dragon table?  I have one for my 22" MT and really like it.

I like it a lot...mainly for hanging tongs and spatulas.  It’s pulling duty right now....
