New Old Guy with two old grills
« on: July 11, 2020, 02:27:05 PM »
Hi All,
Google popped up this forum and I figured it might be a good place to go to get some help. Weber CS doesn't seem to be able to provide an answer to what I view as a simple question. I have a Performer SS that I bought in 1994 and I am in need of a new cover. Live in Georgia so the grill gets used year round and stays out on the deck covered. Weber doesn't make a cover for this size Performer anymore since they "hacked" then dimensions for the new versions.

Weber CS sent me a list of a dozen covers that they said would fit. Some of these don't fit and some of them are twice as wide as the grill. The two that "might" fit are not in stock.

Can anyone recommend either a Weber or non-Weber cover that will fit this grill?

Thanks, Dropman

Welcome to the Wkc.
Weber has nothing that will fit your grill anymore.
This is the only cover that I know of that will fit. 8701W

Thanks for the replies. The 8701W looks like the one I have (less tears and the Weber logo). JEBIV I am in Woodstock.

Welcome from just south of Chicago, IL!
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Thanks to Kneab for the link to Grillstuff. New cover fits "grate" :-) and much better quality of material than the Weber cover of ages past. And thanks to all for the welcomes. Especially those from Illinois as I am originally from Chicago. Now 36 years in Georgia and still don't miss the snow.
