My turn for a 26" quarantine cart

Platinum deluxe and my 26incher did a little switching.

The tables were pretty rough so much so that they were shedding bits of fiberglass. I hit it with a heavy coat of hammered paint gave it a good sanding to smooth out the messed up plastic then painted again. I wouldn't call it hammered but more of just textured. Still cured nice and hard and metal and plastic slide over it nicely.

Changed the wheels and painted the rack and frame joints.

Added the unknown bbq hinge and gas grill handle on the front.

Overall very happy and pretty quick once I actually started beyond piling parts.

I will probably make a strap to lower the top handle a bit. I would take it off but I don't want to plug the holes and when I disconnect the hinge the top handle is still handy.

Left over parts make for a good pizza cooker with the vent centered.

Very cool how do you like the unknown bbq lid for the 26? I have one on my 22 and like it a lot but I know the 26 lid is a lot heavier so I haven’t pulled the trigger and bought another one for my 26

Looks great! I am curious about rationale for having the thermometer in the rear. I think I know why but don’t want to assume.

I like it, I was worried it would sit lopsided but it fits great. The only problem was that the lid is sooo heavy on the 26 I had to go the back to bring the lid down. The front handle made it much easier to lift it off the lock position.

Alot of people say the dome thermometers are useless, I really like having them on the 18s at any position and on the 22 in most positions but on the 26 I find it pretty much useless. It's just so big there are too many heat zones for it to matter. So I mounted the lid so the vent is right in front where the food will be and easy to reach and adjust.
