Bitten by the bug in NC
« on: June 08, 2020, 04:40:19 AM »
Found the forum while researching a kettle I just built a table for.  It's been years since I've considered charcoal a primary cooking method, but now I find myself cooking on it 3-4 times/week.  The kettle appears to be an Imperial Sequoia based on the age determination post.  Mine has a plastic handle rather than wood though, so I'm not quite sure of the year.

Any clues in identifying it are welcome.

Pictures of the original state and where I'm at now included (if I did it right!) below:

Welcome from Doraville,Ga. your pics didn't post, love to see the Sequoia
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I'm not sure how to post pics....I used the "insert image" which put an image tag in the post, which I place a link to a dropbox pic.  Didn't work....

I lived in Alpharetta for many years...know Doraville well.

I'll try pics as attachments....

Hello and welcome from Asheville, NC.  Your kettle and lid are original, somebody must’ve drilled a hole in the center of the lid strap to install that plastic handle.

Welcome from just south of Chicago, IL!
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.
